Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Idealnovate Africa collects, uses, and protects your information across our Data Analysis Bootcamp, Campus, AI Income Blueprint, and DCC Connect pages. Please read it before submitting any information to us.

1. Introduction

Idealnovate Africa ("Idealnovate," "we," "us," or "our") operates a family of free training and community programmes for African tech and design talent, including the Data Analysis Scholarship Bootcamp, Idealnovate Campus, the AI Income Blueprint course, and DCC Connect (the Digital Clinic Circle community). This Privacy Policy applies to all of these pages, referred to together as "our platforms," accessible from idealnovate.com and idealnovate.com.ng.

Scope note: PDU Africa (pduafrica.com) is a related but separately operated programme with its own privacy documentation, linked from its own site. This policy does not cover PDU Africa.

By submitting an enrollment or registration form on any of our platforms, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We only collect information you choose to give us when you register for a programme or event. Depending on which page you register through, this may include:

  • Your first and last name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (used for WhatsApp community access)
  • Location / country
  • Gender
  • How you heard about the programme
  • Whether you have access to a computer (bootcamp pages)
  • Whether you're an Idealnovate/PDU alumnus or student, and whether you plan to attend in person (DCC Connect only)

We do not ask for or knowingly collect sensitive information such as government ID numbers, financial account details, or health data through any enrollment form.

Automatically collected information

Like most websites, our pages use analytics and advertising pixels that may automatically collect standard technical data — such as your browser type, device type, general location, and which pages you visit — for the purposes described in Section 6.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Process and confirm your registration or enrollment
  • Send you a welcome email with programme details, schedule, and next steps
  • Invite you to the relevant WhatsApp or Telegram community for your programme
  • Communicate important updates — schedule changes, session links, event logistics
  • Understand which programmes and marketing channels are working, so we can improve them
  • Respond to questions you send us directly

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, for any reason.

4. Community Platforms (WhatsApp & Telegram)

After registering, you'll typically be invited to join a WhatsApp or Telegram community group for your programme. These groups are hosted on WhatsApp's and Telegram's own platforms, not ours — anything you share inside them is visible to other group members and is governed by WhatsApp's and Telegram's own privacy policies, not this one. We recommend reviewing those platforms' privacy settings before joining.

5. Third-Party Services We Use

We rely on a small number of trusted third-party services to run our platforms:

  • Google (Sheets & Apps Script): your registration details are stored in a private Google Sheet and processed via Google Apps Script to send your welcome email.
  • Gmail: automated welcome and update emails are sent from our Gmail account via Google's `GmailApp` service.
  • Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel: used to measure how effective our ads are and to reach people with relevant ads on Meta platforms.
  • TikTok Pixel: used for the same advertising-measurement purpose, on TikTok.

These providers may process your data on servers outside Nigeria, in line with their own privacy and security practices.

6. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Our pages use the Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel, which place small tracking cookies in your browser. These cookies help us understand which visits led to a completed registration, and allow us to show relevant ads to people who've visited our pages. They do not give us access to your device, files, or accounts.

You can control or clear these cookies through your browser settings at any time, or opt out of personalized advertising through Meta's ad preferences and TikTok's privacy settings.

7. Data Retention

We keep your registration information for as long as reasonably necessary to run the programme you signed up for, stay in touch with our community, and meet any legal or record-keeping obligations. If you'd like your information removed sooner, see Section 8.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Ask us what information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate information
  • Ask us to delete your information from our records
  • Withdraw from a WhatsApp/Telegram community at any time by leaving the group

To exercise any of these rights, email us at help@idealnovate.com and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

9. Children's Privacy

Our programmes are intended for young professionals and adult learners. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.

10. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us, including restricting access to our registration records to authorized team members only. However, no method of storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our programmes evolve. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page occasionally to stay informed.
